So this week our feature Friday post is telling you a little more about the beautiful Alice In Wonderland bespoke wedding invitations we created.
The concept is quite simple. The clients wanted invitations with a pocket on the inside and they wanted it to fit their purple Alice In Wonderland themed wedding. We spent a while playing with a few different concepts for the front of the invitation before deciding on this playing card. The ‘D’ and ‘K’ in the corners are the first initials of the Groom and Bride respectively. As a secondary colour at their wedding will be gold we decided to incorporate that colour into the invitations with the little gold letters and hearts. The three gold hearts across the front of the invitation flow quite nicely and link the two initials together visually.
The inside of the invitations (more pictures can been viewed in the bespoke creations gallery) feature a beautiful embossed clock motif that was added to fill a big expanse of purple that was too distracting. We also used the clock embossing on the backs of the RSVP cards. The inside of the invitation has a panel on the left inviting all their guests to the wedding itself and then a reversable panel on the right tucked into the pocket with details of the reception on one side and information about local taxi firms and hotels on the other. Also in the pocket you can find the RSVP card and its matching envelope.
The RSVP cards and envelopes were created using custom stamps that we also produced for the couple. This meant it was a much quicker process to address the RSVP envelopes. Although you can’t see the front of the envelopes for data protection reasons they had the RSVP address stamped on and then they were embossed in gold.
The couple had a lot of positive feedback on their invitations and have told us that a few times they have been to visit friends and spotted their invitations up on bookcases or mantelpieces.
Have a look in our bespoke gallery to find pictures of our more recent projects. These include our ‘Alice in Wonderland’ handmade wedding invitations.
Our bespoke collection is all about creating exactly what you want for your wedding. The design process will see us working with you to gather ideas and inspirations you may have together and create the ultimate wedding stationery for your big day. Please get in touch if you have any questions.
This gorgeous wax seal will be used to seal all of the invitation envelopes in gold wax.
This embossed clock panel is the back for the RSVP cards.
This White Rabbit motif was designed to have a playing card feel. We used the initials of the couple as the letters in the corners.
So we thought we would share a little sneak preview of a set of bespoke wedding invitations that we have been working on. This silver wax seal (although they were in gold in the end) was used to finish the envelopes. The White Rabbit and letters motif was based on a playing card using the initials of the couple getting married.
